My mom & I seem to collect trays. We use them for everything, serving, displaying decor, playing games, and so much more. I thought, why not created a few just for the holidays! These gilded holidays trays are perfect for serving a light snack while decking the halls or for displaying candles & decor on the coffee table!
Here’s what you need:
Wood trays, scrapbook paper, Rub ‘n Buff (I used antique gold), a pour-on high gloss finish, spray adhesive (not pictured).

My current greenery obsession this season is fresh bay leaves. For some reason I am absolutely loving them and knew I needed to make a wreath for my front door!

Fresh bay leaves, heavy gauge wire (I used black to disappear into my front door), wire bind, satin ribbon, and flocked magnolia blossoms.
What to do:
These fabulous flocked magnolia blossoms are available for purchase in our online Holiday Shop!

One thing I try to do every year with this series is offer an activity or craft that can be done with kids. I have 2 nieces and a nephew and they are so creative and always want to get involved. I thought this would be a perfect craft to do with them!
Here is what you need:
Cardstock or tag board, ornament template, glue (I like this Tombo variety because it stays a little sticky allowing the foil to adhere nicely), foil, a dull pencil, ink, and twine.
What to do:
I think my nieces and nephew will have a blast with this! These would also make great gift tags. Simply cut paper to fit the back and attach with glue making a writing surface!

As I mentioned on our Facebook Page, we are changing things up a bit with our 12 Days Series. We will still be showcasing select DIY decor projects but we will also be sharing Jen’s Favorite Finds for the Holidays. Jen’s Favorite Finds are a collection of gift and decor items that will be for sale online beginning Wednesday, December 4th. Let’s kick this series off with Day 1!
While out shopping towards the end of the holiday season last year I came across an adorable small wreath at a local Packaging Specialities store. I knew I had to share it this year in our 12 Days Series. Created from cotton (paper) curling ribbon, this wreath can be made for any season or occasion! Our wreath measures about 9 inches across.
The Supplies:
Cotton Curling Ribbon (I used some from Packaging Specialties), Heavy Gauge Decorative Wire, Ribbon, and Scissors.
The Steps:
I began by coiling my heavy gauge wire around a 9 inch vase to get a circular shape.
Next, cut the cotton curling ribbon into pieces measuring 12 inches in length.
(Our wreath took 68 twelve-inch lengths…just about 23 yards…yikes!)
Loosely folding the ribbon in half, loop the ribbon around the wire frame securing the loose ends through the loop of the ribbon.
Once the wreath form is filled with ribbon strips begin to curl them!
When the curls are complete attach a ribbon and hang!
A limited number of these wreaths will be for sale in the Jen’s Favorite Finds Shop should you wish to purchase one rather than make it!
Happy Holiday!
